Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, Pamela Joy Yates on July 2nd, 2023, passed away at the Smiths Falls Hospital, in her 75th year. Loving wife of Gregory Brook. Beloved and devoted mother of Susan Yates of Elgin, ON and Lisa Breslin (Cory Elliott) of Crossfield, AB. She also always held her children David and Valerie close in her heart and in her prayers. Cherished grandmother (Nani) to Amber Wood (David Wood), Brandi Allen (Peter Allen), Daniel Reid, Monica Reid (Bradley Leonard), Marina Reid, Alexis Breslin, Taylor Breslin, Marcus Breslin. Much-loved great-grandmother (Nani) to Jorden Allen, Jade Allen, Jenson Allen, Finley Wood, and Mason Saucier. As life often does, the family tree had several wonderful branches and provided the gift of many stepchildren, grand-children, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Born April 25, 1948, in Toronto. She was prede-ceased by her parents, Bertha (Bea) and Clifford Yates, her brother Barry Yates, her grand-son Brandon Edward Reid and her dear friend and former mother-in-law Beatrix Batty. Whether as mom, Nani, auntie Pam or simply Pam and re-gardless of time or distance, she held steadfast to her love, loyalty, and devotion to all her family. She taught those around her that being real is far more important than being perfect. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be greatly appreciated.
