With heavy hearts we announ-ce the peaceful passing of Christiana on August 13, 2023, at St. Joseph's Health Centre at the age of 89. Loving wife to Evert for 69 wonderful years. Proud mother to Gerry (Andrea) and Jim (Tracey). De-voted grandmother to Emily, Laura (Eric), Nick (Laura), Mike (Emily), and Peter (Amy). Treasured great grandmother to Connor, Megan, Molly, Paisley, and Owen. Cherished sister to 12 siblings. Prede-ceased by her parents Jan and Cornelia. She will be missed by all her friends and extended family. She was a volunteer for many organiz-ations including GMHA, Mothers Auxiliary, CWL, and the Canadian Cancer Society. She also loved knitting and needlepoint and donated her knitting many times to charities. Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph, where the family invites friends and relatives for a visitation on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, 28 Norfolk Street, Guelph, on Thursday, August 17, 2023, beginning at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome to join the burial at Marymount Cemetery following the Mass and a reception in the church hall after the burial. As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation.
