With heavy hearts we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Ann Young with family by her side at the Guelph General Hospital, on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Ann, in her 86th year, was the beloved wife of Tom Young (2018). She was the loving mother of Cathy Bolliger (Danny), Sheri Young (Darrin Mohan), and Tammy Speziale (Mike), the dear grandmother of Travis, Jesse, Devon, Bradley, Alyssa, Ashley, Nicole, Shauna, Leath, and Rubie, and the wonderful great-grandmother of eight. Ann is survived by her brother Peter O'Drowsky (Nancy). We will miss our Ann but her spirit and strength lives on in each of us and in the lives that she touched by the love, strength, conviction, wisdom, and beauty of her soul. We wanted to extend a big thank you to Dr. M. Schmidt, Paige, Katherine, Ann, and all the other ICU members who so lovingly cared for our mother while there. Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph. A Visitation will take place on Monday, August 28, 2023, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St., Guelph, on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow.
