DONALD WAYNE SHARP On Monday, September 11, 2023, Donald Sharp passed away peacefully at the age of 83. Loving father of Michael (Diana), Andrew (Elizabeth), Dan (Christine), Chris (Jennifer), and Rebecca. Cherished grandfather of Eleanor, Asten, Delaney, Evan, Sarah, Megan, Emily, Cameron, Matthew, Nicole, and Tyler. He is survived by his former wife Brooke, sister Phyllis Kistner and predeceased by his father Lorne, mother Elizabeth, and his two brothers: Jim and Ken. After graduating in 1965 from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto, Don spent the next four decades building a successful dental practice in Guelph. An avid hockey player, he continued to play the game for more than 50 years forging many lasting friendships and great memories along the way, especially during his years as a member of the famous 'Guelph Goodtimers'. However, nowhere was Don happier than when he was spending time with friends and family skiing in Aspen, Colorado and the Alpine Ski Club in Collingwood, or at the cottage on Georgian Bay where, regardless of the weather, you could always count on hearing his morning declaration that "It's another great day on the Bay!" He was truly a one-of-a-kind. He will be lovingly remembered for his incredible generosity, his infectious smile, and his joy for life. The family is grateful for the kindness, care, and support Don received from the dedicated caregivers at Kensington Gardens and especially from his personal caregiver, Alice Amo.
