Martinello (née Torresan), Lia, born in Loria, Treviso, Italy. Passed away peacefully, with family at her side on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Humber River Hospital, Toronto at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late of Igino (Gino) Martinello (2009). Dear mother of Joseph Martinello and his wife Teresa Santoro and Alicemaria (Alicia) Martinello and her husband Filippo (Phil) Lo Grasso. Grandmother of Marc Lo Grasso (Michele), Andrea Lo Grasso, Christian Lo Grasso (Andrea), Renzo Martinello (fiancée Catherine) and Stefan Lo Grasso. Dear sister to Ines Favrin (the late Lindo), Aldo Torresan (Margherita), the late Elsa Barla (the late Fioravante) and the late Pietro Torresan (Flora), with many dear nephews and nieces in Italy, France and Canada. Lia's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Friday, November 24, 2023 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. The Funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at St. Anne Roman Catholic Church, 268 East Avenue, Kitchener. Entombment: Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Catholic Cemetery, Guelph at 12 noon followed by a reception at Kelsey's, 124 Woodlawn Road, Guelph.
