Nov 17, 1931 - Mar 22, 2024 With family members at her bedside, Millie passed away peacefully on March 22nd, 2024 at Hospice Wellington in Guelph, Ontario. Millie was always a "down home" girl from Enfield, Nova Scotia where she met our dad Pierre Vialette who had emigrated from France shortly before. Together they raised Christine (Michael), Jean-Michel, Allen, Maurice (Jacqueline), and Robert (Amber). She now rests peacefully with Pierre, Shelley, and Bobby. Millie came from a close-knit farming family of 9 girls and 1 boy, and is survived by her loving sisters Marion, Monica, and Sister Rita (Thelma), and a large extended family. She leaves behind her grandchildren Shannon, Meaghan, Jasmine, Alexandre, and Nicholas; and her great-grandchildren Emilie, Grayson, Ryerson, and Keaston. While living in Lancaster, Ontario mum was active in volunteering at the local nursing home, and, as a Silver Cross mother she took great pride in having the opportunity to share her loss of Bobby numerous times at Remembrance Day services in nearby Williamstown and in Guelph while she still could. In her final years the staff at both her retirement homes would routinely comment to us how much they loved working with her as she was so pleasant, despite her ailments. Throughout her 92 years she taught us all so much including maintaining a sense of humour to the very end.
