It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Esther Anne Penfold (nee Balzer) on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Sunnyside Home in Kitchener, Ontario. After a long battle with her health, Esther has gone home to be with her Lord. Esther is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Robert, their son Joshua (Rebecca), and daughter Johanna (Lucas), her brothers Edward (Beverley) and David (Violet). She also leaves behind four grandchildren whom she adored: Ellen, Jameson, Ruth, and Madison. Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, April 18, 2024, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a reception in the Fireside Reception Room. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Guelph, Ontario.
