May 9, 1935 - Aug 21, 2024 It is with sadness that we share the news of the passing of Barbara (Barb) Gerrie. As he was throughout 69 years of marriage and companionship, Wayne was by her side protecting and comforting the love of his life. Mother of Jody (Bryan Weir), Kim (Margie) and Mike (Wendy) and proud 'Nanny' of Caitlin Taylor (Jarrett), Christopher Weir (Alyssa), Morgan Gerrie (Matt Hardman), Matthew Gerrie, Wes Gerrie (Amber), Cameron Gerrie (Rachel High), and great-grandmother of Austin, Aislinn, Nathan and Owen. She is survived by brother, Brian Howden (Marion); sister-in-law, Gail Howden; and brother-in-law, Pete McCutcheon. Barb was predeceased by her brother, Bill; and sisters, Ruth (McCaw) and Pat (McCutcheon). Barb was renowned for her baking, particularly her pies, butter tarts and chocolate chip cookies. Her impeccable sense of fashion along with her nurturing of her beautiful gardens and amazing home decorating gave her great joy and pride especially when hosting the many social events with family and friends. Wayne and the family would like to acknowledge the overwhelming support and kindness of the Centennial Place LTC team.
