Mar 4, 1939 - Jan 13, 2025 Paul Mcewan passed away on January 13, 2025, in Switzerland, where he had resided in Vevey during the latter years of his life. Born and raised in Toronto, Paul began his career as a Toronto police officer, dedicating himself to public service. Later, he transitioned into entrepreneurship, successfully opening and operating a Harvey's restaurant in Guelph. For 30 years, Paul managed the businesses with dedication and hard work, leaving a lasting impression on the community he served. Paul will be missed by his wife Anita Haesaerts and his children Jada McEwan and Derrick McEwan. "Opa" is lovingly remembered by grandchildren Madison, Katheryn, Hana and Quinn. Remembered by his siblings, David and Susan and predeceased by Eliza, Louis and Jenny. A true adventurer, he loved boating, flying, and skiing. He cherished time spent at the family cottage in Georgian Bay and held dear memories of time spent in the Parry Sound area in his youth. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
