Jan 19, 1941 - Apr 22, 2025 Brian David Ruddy passed away peacefully in Owen Sound, Ontario, on April 22, 2025, at the age of 84 years. Predeceased by the love of his life and beloved wife of 58 years, Molly (née Brown). Predeceased by his father, Joseph; mother, Margaret (Peggy); brothers, John (Marion) and Joseph (Helen); sisters, Maureen (Tom) and Sheila (Donald); and brother-in-law, Raymond. Brian will be missed dearly by his sister Joan; his children, Brent, Lisa, Brad (Christine), and Sean (Hannah); grandchildren, Kaila (Andrew), Connor, Jacob, Nathan, and Eva; and great-grandchildren, Owen and Finn. Brian was a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly. Born in Paisley, Scotland, Brian moved to Canada with his family and settled in Guelph, Ontario. He often spoke fondly of his time as a Scout and loved his years exploring the Canadian Arctic. He attended GCVI in Guelph, where he met Molly, and they soon after started their lives together. He will be remembered by all for his passion for reading and history, and his ability to always tell a great joke. No memorial service is planned at this time. Cremation has taken place at Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, 804 2nd Ave West, Owen Sound, ON N4K 4M5.
