My US born, maternal grandmother was stripped of her citizenship during that period. No one seems to remember the exact circumstances but the story was that, with an 8th grade education, she was, at 42 years of age, required to take a citizenship test to "reinstate" her citizenship even though she was born here! How any first, second or even third generation italian American can support this evil Trump is beyond me!
