I don’t usually review, but I think it is safe to say with my full chest that this is the best book I have ever read in my entire history of reading. I have read books of great authors and felt very inspired, but the way I felt seen, comforted and NORMAL when I read Mpoomy’s , made me feel like I should have paid way more than the price of this book. As a gal pal, I am so proud of the life changing story of mama ka Nuri, I understand why you said you felt NAKED after sharing your story, I keep applauding you for giving us such necessary but SACRED parts of to you . I am you and you are me! I’ve always had a strong desire to write my own book and this was the definite motivation. I also have my own Oxford Dictionary story, angry black mom stories and a few other sensitive chapters she has shared that motivated me to not feel shame about being me any more. God has used this book to transform my life and one day when I meet Mpoomy , I will tell her this! Thank you for allowing God to use you , sis.
