I can identify with you. I am having my share of mail delivery troubles also. My white pleasant mail knew me by name, and always stopped to speak each time we met each other. He knew where to leave packages and would let me knoe they were waiting for me if he saw me. He delivered the mail at the same time everyday, and this I could count on. However since before Christmas I have not seen him. Since that time we have had several different mail people, young people all without uniforms, I am never sure exactly who the people are. My packages are no longer being delivered instead I get little pink slips for pick up of packages that no one can seem to locate when I arrive at the post office. I have had to call the companies of my orders twice this year for redelivery of lost packages. During the Christmas holiday my mother never received the gift I sent to her in Florida and my sons gift, sent to Phoenix, was so misdirected that I received a call from a woman in Phoenix that the package and wanted to help me get it him. I am glad to know there are still people like her in the world. You see it is not just your mailman it seems to be that something has changed with the entire mail system. From three seperate places in the country I have been plagued by mail delivery problems over the last 6 months. I too have also always been fascinated and respectful of the mail service. I have family all over the world and I depend on the mail service. I have family in West Africa and they wait sometimes 90 days for deliveries. I once sent them an overnight package that took 3 weeks to arrive. Is this the state that our own mail service is coming to? I hope not. There must be a solution to these problems.
