Gary L. McCallister, 77, passed away on February 28, 2025, in Corsicana, Texas. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1948. Over the course of his career, he worked in trucking, auto sales, and as a pharmacy technician. Gary was predeceased by his father, Leonard E. McCallister; his mother, Margaret Evans; his sister, Bonnie McCallister; and his former wife, Joan M. Wright (née Kovalcin). He is survived by his three sons, Joseph, Christopher, and Kyle McCallister; and his grandchildren, Juliet and James McCallister. He is also survived by his former wife, Cynthia Ferguson; his twin sister, Gloria Mennite and her husband, Nicholas; and his brothers, Daniel McCallister and his wife, Pamela; Roger McCallister and his wife, Terry; and Barry Allen and his wife, Saundra. A celebration of life will be held in summer 2025. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Helping Hands of Rockwall County.
