Dickie Neisler, 72, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Dickie was born November 19, 1952, in Paris, Texas. He spent his childhood through his High School graduation in Paris where was a standout baseball player until hip/health issues cut short his playing days. He met the love of his life, Beverly Kay Neisler (Pilkington) in Paris, they soon married and moved together to Dallas to start a new life together. He held jobs at Jack-in-the-box and Frito Lay before following in his father's footsteps, joining the United States Postal Service of which he would retire after 30 years of service. He also co-founded his own payphone/emergency phone company in the early 90's and kept it flourishing until he officially retired from the business in 2016.
Dickie and Beverly loved traveling together and with family. Many happy memories were made on the road, seeing the sights and just loving the beautiful, natural world around them. He and Beverly prided themselves on traveling to all 48 of the continental United states plus a few trips to Alaska, Mexico, and Canada. Their favorite stops were the mountains when seasons and foliage were changing. In their retirement years, they enjoyed the quiet country life in Barry, Texas. They kept themselves busy by volunteering and helping out with the Barry Volunteer Fire Department and driving around their place on tractors and golf carts with the grandkids and neighbor's dogs.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22nd at 2pm, with services beginning at 3pm.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory to the Barry Volunteer Fire Department.
