These houses were up in flames before dispatch was notified. Don't know where you live but I am in IN and very familiar w/ that area and departments. Wabash Twp. is a combination dept. w/ FT and PT/volunteers. That is their ladder that rolled in first. Within a couple of miles of that scene is a West Lafayette station AND the Purdue station both full-time. By the looks of what apparatus I could see in pictures it looked like W.L. station 2 engine was next arrival and Purdue after them. So your theory is not totally correct.
