It was a great honor to know Jack Beim, Eva's father who not only survived the Nazi atrocities, but was able to transcend the suffering and degradation of the darkest period in Jewish history. He was able to offer love, kindness and wisdom to everybody who entered his life. He remains an inspiration to his children, grandchildren and his many friends. It takes a great mind and a very loving heart to believe that "tomorrow will come and the day when we will be freed." This belief portrayed Jack's spirit when he was in the concentration camps and sustained him for the rest of his life. The example he demonstrated uplifts all of us, as well as future generations.
