A Washington man survived for three days in his car after he went off the Anthony Lakes Highway west of Baker Valley and landed in Antone Creek. Loennig said in phone interview Tuesday evening that a man who lives farther down in the valley actually found the car. The man, who walks in the area almost every day, walked down the highway to Loennig’s house and told him about seeing the car. His car went over an embankment and traveled around 200 feet, landing in Antone Creek, McClay said. Loennig said he was surprised Schwinberg’s car went over the berm on the south edge of the highway and down the embankment to the creek without rolling.
