Feb 22, 1947 - Jan 6, 2025 Marilyn was born February 22, 1947 in Chickasha, Ok to Wyman and Genevieve Turner. She went home to be with the Lord on January 6, 2025, with her daughters by her side. As a young girl, Marilyn gave her heart to the Lord. She knew that her home was in Heaven and was ready to go home. Marilyn graduated from US Grant High School in Oklahoma City in 1965, and attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Mo. She worked in the Food and Nutrition Department at Grady Memorial Hospital for 30 years, retiring in 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, ex husband and best friend John Butler; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. Survivors left to remember her include her daughters Christina Butler and Tanya Butler of Chickasha; brother Leslie Turner of Oklahoma City; Aunts Wanda Fenimore of El Reno and Peggy Hodgson of Apple Valley, Ca; Sister-in-law Shirley Simon and husband Richard of Del City along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held for Marilyn on January 17, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Chickasha, Ok with Pastor Michael Butler officiating.
