Siobhan O’Brien, director and chairperson of the group, said: "To speak of Rachel O'Connor and list her accomplishments would take the entire evening. "Her list of awards is a long one culminating in her all Ireland triumph for her amazing portrayal of Margaret Thatcher. "Whether Panto or play Rachel gave her all (and had many a laugh along the way)." Ms O'Brien described Ms O’Connor as "warm and oh so witty," recalling fond memories. She said: "On our 25th anniversary we thought it so important to pay tribute to a wonderful actress but more than that a great friend."
