The writer is not very intelligent and playing to the old stereotypes. Are Luos poorer than Kisiis, Kikuyus, Kalenjins, Pokots, Coastal, Turkanas, Luhyas, Samburus, Maasais, Boranas, Kurias and all other Kenyans? Why then do we make a significant component of Nairobi Middle and Mombasa middle class? Why do we have a disproportionate admission of Luos to universities(and you can confirm this in Nairobi University alone) Why is Kisumu, the commercial capital of the “poor Luos” the third largest and fastest growing city in Kenya and not Nyeri, Muranga, Kakamega, Eldoret, Lodwar, Nakuru, Garissa… The opposition is no longer a Luo movement..but a hodge podge of diverse Kenyan tribes including Kambas, Luhyas, Maasais, Coastal communities, Samburu and Turkana. In 2022, the main candidate wouldn’t even be a Luo. The Luo just happen to be FORCEFUL agitators. We are argumentative, extroverted and loud. This Luo obsession in dissecting Kenyan politics is due to a lack of imagination in commentating; which is why we talk of Githeri media-shallow, lacking in critical thinking and resorting to stereotypes and conspiracies.
