A funeral service for Kevin Wayne Sessions, 53, is scheduled for 2 p.m., January 27, 2025, at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville with Andy Cox officiating. He will be laid to rest at Earle's Chapel Cemetery in Jacksonville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Kevin was born on November 15, 1971, to Kenneth Wayne "Dick" and Jackie (Pope) Sessions, and passed away on January 20, 2025. Kevin was a man whose soul found peace in the great outdoors. Kevin was an avid fisherman and hunter. After his father's passing, Kevin stepped up to the challenge and responsibility of making the ranch operation a success. Kevin was an extreme sports enthusiast and enjoyed supporting many local teams. In the kitchen, Kevin was a maestro, crafting meals with the same patience and care he showed in all aspects of his life. Above all, Kevin will be remembered for his extremely kind heart. His generosity and warmth touched many, and his legacy of love and kindness will be cherished by all who knew him. May his memory be a comfort and inspiration to those who had the privilege of knowing him. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, Loren Jack "Slim" and Mildred Pope, Pearl and Mammie Sessions. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, brother, Kenny Mack Sessions and wife, Stephanie; nephew, Connor Sessions; nieces and a great-nephew; aunts and uncles, Gail and Ken Walker, Margaret and Joel McKinley, Mary and Stan Martin, Udell Sexton, Eva Rocha, Jimmy Sessions, and Donald Guinn. Pallbearers will be Wesley Davis, David Bateman, Alan Ayers, Chad Hancock, Chris Hammons, and Randy Tennison. Honorary pallbearers will be Rickey Brown, Craig Dickerson, Ryan Bizzell, Brian Bannister, Scott Bragg, Ronnie Higginbotham, Joel Hancock, and Jimmy Sessions. Rather than customary condolences, memorials may be made to County Road Rescue, American Cancer Society, or Heart of Forgiveness Ministries of Lampasas, Texas.
