The NHS trust league tables have been published by the government for the first time in a bid to “drive up standards”.
Out of the 134 acute NHS Trusts in England, the Wye Valley NHS Trust ranked number 76 - placing it in the bottom half of the table.
The Wye Valley NHS Trust, which provides healthcare services at Hereford County Hospital, has been placed in category three out of four and received a score of 2.43.
Overall, just 16 trusts were named as being category one, and a further 11 were placed in category two.
Wye Valley NHS Trust managing director Jane Ives said: "Wye Valley NHS Trust has been placed in Segment 3, reflecting a combination of performance metrics and a financial override due to ongoing deficit support.
