Financial Contribution Service established to provide annual grantCommunity halls in Electoral Area G of the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) will be getting a financial leg up following a successful referendum. CSRD directors voted unanimously to approve the establishment of an Electoral Area G Community Halls Financial Contribution Service at its Sept. 18 board meeting. The new bylaw will allow CSRD staff to establish a service for the purpose of providing financial contributions to community halls within Electoral Area G by way of an annual grant. In a recent assent vote, 368 property owners were in support of establishing the service while 140 voted against. “This is providing an ability to make sure business gets taken care of,” she said.
