Shevane Collins, 32, was sentenced to five years in prison on September 12 after he was convicted at trial. A police investigation revealed that Collins was responsible for co-ordinating the supply of drugs from London into the Hampden Park area of Eastbourne. Police found evidence that his car and personal phone numbers were repeatedly linked to drug line activity between September 2020 and January 2021. Collins was arrested on two occasions, in January 2021, and again in April of the same year, when officers found a wrap of crack cocaine inside his vehicle. He was charged in April 2022 and denied the offences, but a jury found him guilty of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, as well as possession of crack cocaine.
