INEZ – In a season filled with tragedy for Martin County’s Lady Cardinals – the light at the end of the tunnel shines bright. Standout Madison Thompson finished with 28 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to power the Lady Cardinals to a 51-33 victory over Magoffin County to punch their ticket to the 57th District girls’ championship game and into next week’s 15th Region Tournament in Pikeville.
