GOODY – Belfry took control early in the game against Pike County Central and rolled to a 70-36 victory in the opening round of the boys’ 60th District Tournament played on Tuesday night. The Pirates, now 10-17, advanced to the title game and secured a spot in next week’s 15th Region tournament with the win. The Hawks finished the season at 8-21. Sal Dean poured in 21 points and Brett Coleman followed with 14 while Tyler Chaffin tallied 13. Anthony Palotta paced Central with 11 points and Jacob Young chipped in 10.
