Two-time defending champion Pikeville turned up the defensive pressure to run away and beat Martin County, 73-50, in the 15th Region All “A” Classic Tournament semifinal game played at the Appalachian Wireless Arena on Monday night. Senior Trinity Rowe fired in a game-high 25 points and dished out 10 assists as the Lady Panthers improved to 11-1. Kristen Whited tossed in 15 points and Leighan Jackson added a double-double, with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Laken Williams led the Lady Cardinals (11-5) with 15 points and Brooke Marcum scored 12.
