It's also important to note that in the early 2000s Huton published a collection of articles under the title of, "Witches, Druids and King Arthur" wherein he confesses that not only was he NOT able to demonstrate Wicca's modernity (despite his assertion that he had); but as he was writing "Triumph of the Moon" he discovered and intentionally ignored evidence of ancient religions that directly mirrored Wicca and have linear, historic ties to Wicca because it would have disproved his argument. Hence, "Triumph of the Moon" is an exercise in a Confirmation Bias fallacy.
