Bihar is set to get its 11th Amrit Bharat Express, connecting Darbhanga with Ajmer. Bihar is set to receive another Amrit Bharat Express train, strengthening its rail network and providing a major boost to connectivity ahead of the state assembly elections later this year. This will be the 11th Amrit Bharat Express to originate from or pass through Bihar, highlighting the state’s growing prominence in the Indian Railways’ expansion plan. Currently, 11 Amrit Bharat Express trains are operational across the country, with 10 already serving Bihar directly or indirectly. Designed to offer affordability and comfort, these trains provide passengers—especially from lower and middle-income groups—an experience close to that of the premium Vande Bharat Express.
