New York: French President Emmanuel Macron’s motorcade was temporarily stopped by New York police on September 22, 2025, to clear the way for US President Donald Trump’s convoy, causing a brief delay for the French leader as he left the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) headquarters. A police officer apologised to Macron, explaining, “I’m sorry, Mr President, everything is blocked right now,” as authorities secured the route for Trump’s motorcade. The French president appeared amused but slightly exasperated by the delay and stepped out of his vehicle. In the viral footage, Macron was filmed dialling President Trump directly from the street, jokingly telling him, “Guess what?
