St. Louisan Luther Burden III enjoyed a breakout performance on Sunday as the Chicago Bears defeated the Dallas Cowboys for their first victory of the season. The former prep star at Cardinal Ritter and East St. Louis had three receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown in the Bears’ 31-14 victory over Dallas at Soldier Field in Chicago. The Bears selected Burden in the second-round of the NFL Draft after his stellar collegiate career at the University of MIssouri. Burden began his high school career at Cardinal Ritter, where he was a standout in football and basketball. He finished his career at East St. Louis Senior High.
