Ali Ahmed Hussein, along with two other fighters associated with the pro-Iranian armed group, lost their lives in the southern Lebanese town of Sultaniyah, as confirmed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
While Hezbollah acknowledged Hussein's death, the organization refrained from disclosing further details. However, a source within Sultaniyah verified Hussein's identity, stating that he operated under the alias Abbas Jaafar and held a significant position within Hezbollah's elite Radwan Brigade.
The IDF asserted that Hussein held a leadership role comparable to that of a brigade commander and attributed recent attacks on civilian sites in northern Israel to his command.
This incident unfolds against a backdrop of escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, marked by frequent cross-border confrontations, raising concerns of broader conflict escalation.
