Chris O’Donnell has been pushing for the safer crossing point outside Breakspeare School in Gallows Hill Lane, Abbots Langley, since becoming alarmed by a number of "near misses" in the road. A provisional agreement that painting a zebra crossing between Manor House Car Park and the school is possible has now been secured, following speed counts and meetings with councillors and council officers on site. The Abbots Langley councillor said: “I am pleased county officers have rethought the issue here and come up with this new plan. “We are meeting the school and parish council in October to discuss the details and some minor changes that might be needed to the car park and school entrance.”Campaigners in Gallows Hill Lane(Image: Cllr Stephen Giles-Medhurst)
