Memories of Watford General Hospital before redevelopment
['Anthony Matthews']
Watford Observer | News
The Watford Observer is delighted to share pictures from the archive at Watford Museum and this week we look back at this view of Watford General Hospital.
How the area around the hospital looked before redevelopment(Image: Watford Museum)The museum’s volunteer archivist Christine Orchard said: “Whilst the outline of the hospital is recognisable, the land use to the right has changed.

“There is no doubt the construction of the Thomas Sawyer Way was the starting point of the new district of Watford that is taking shape today.”Visit the Museum Facebook page or website www.watfordmuseum.org.uk to see more historic photos.
