For My Second Last Album, the singer-songwriter “chose to stay home in Nova Scotia and casually record some songs with no agenda,” as per press materials. Jurvanen’s relocation from the hustle and bustle of Toronto to the relative quiet of Nova Scotia also informed My Second Last Album, as did family life. The video for My Second Last Album lead single, “The Bridge,” sees Jurvanen and his family hanging out on Nova Scotia’s idyllic coastline.
