LATAM Airlines Group has placed an order for up to twenty-four E195-E2s with purchase rights for a further 50 units of the type. The Chilean holding said it would initially place its first regional jets to be inducted since the merger of LAN Chile and TAM Linhas Aéreas, with LATAM Airlines Brasil (JJ, São Paulo Congonhas), with potential for their deployment across other AOCs in the future. LATAM Airlines Brasil's predecessor, TAM, operated a substantial fleet of up to fifty F100 regional jets, but exited the type by 2008, ch-aviation data shows. Currently it has no regional jets or turboprops in its fleet. Chilean unit LATAM Airlines has never operated regional jets, and neither have LATAM Airlines Colombia, LATAM Airlines Perú, LATAM Airlines Ecuador, or LATAM Express.
