The move to symmetrical upload and download speeds will be automatic for customers and will not increase monthly bills.
“MetroNet already possesses cutting-edge fiber optic technology to enhance our customers’ experience while on the internet, and we’re excited to offer them even more,” said MetroNet’s Chief Technology Officer Jason Schreiber.
“Thanks to our state-of-the-art fiber optic network, we are able to upgrade our customers easily and offer them internet speeds that our competitors can’t match.”In January, MetroNet acquired Grand Rapids-based LightSpeed Fiber and expanded their footprint in the Midwest.
Customers who previously had services through LightSpeed Fiber will be part of the automatic symmetrical speed upgrade in the MetroNet family.
Customers who have questions about symmetrical speeds are encouraged to reach out by calling 1-877-407-3224.
