Sarpanch uses push-cart to collect garbage amid fund crunch in Telangana’s Mukhra (K)Adilabad’s Mukhra (K) village Sarpanch Gadge Meenakshi collected garbage with a push-cart after funds for fuel and sanitation salaries were delayed. Adilabad: Sarpanch Gadge Meenakshi gathered waste using a push-cart following delay in release of funds to buy fuel for tractors at Mukhra (K), a model village in Echoda mandal, on Saturday. Meenakshi said sanitation staff had stopped collecting trash in the village due to lack of funds to purchase fuel and to pay salaries. She regretted that garbage was piling up on the streets of the village, resulting in the spread of seasonal diseases. The Sarpanch stated that she had no option but to collect the waste with the help of a push-cart by moving from one house to the other.
