One teacher for 85 students: Parents protest staff shortage at Kandikatkur school in SircillaParents of students at Mandal Parishad Primary School in Kandikatkur, Illanthakunta mandal, staged a dharna demanding immediate appointment of teachers. With only three teachers for 85 students, one already transferred and another retiring soon, parents expressed concern over the academic future of their children. Parents, led by Amma Adarsha School Committee president Battini Kavya, staged the protest by sitting on the road near the bus stand. Speaking on the occasion, they said that though there were 85 students in the school, only three teachers were available.
