Representing the ABVP-Sevalal Vidyarthi Dal (SLVD) alliance, Shiva Palepu won the president position by defeating Ananya Dash of BSF-DSU-SFI-TSF panel by a margin of 170 votes. In the race for the general secretary, a key position, Shruti Priya from the ABVP alliance won with 1,667 votes, while her opponent, Mohammed Shadil of ASA-AISA-Fraternity-MSF alliance, polled 980 votes. Similarly, Saurabh Shukla, Venus and Jwala from the ABVP-led panel were elected as the joint secretary, cultural secretary and sports secretary, respectively. Moments after the results declaration by the university’s election commission, students affiliated to the ABVP and SLVD organised celebrations on the campus. Earlier, the ABVP-led alliance swept the UoH students’ union elections, bagging all the posts, with Aarti Nagpal, who received 1,663 votes, winning the president post in 2018.
