They sang traditional songs while circling the flower arrangements before immersing them in nearby water bodies. Flower markets were packed in the morning as people thronged to buy Gunugu, Thangedu, Gummadi, Banthi and Chamanthi flowers, all essential for preparing Bathukamma arrangements.
