Algae chokes KLN park lake, threatens Bathukamma celebrations in SanathnagarResidents and walkers in Sanathnagar are alarmed by the worsening condition of the lake at KLN Park, which has become choked with algae and floating waste following heavy rains. Due to recent heavy rains, the water body at KLN Park is filled to the brim resembling a green carpet. The KLN Park, named after former minister of the united Andhra Pradesh, Kanjerla Lakshmi Narayana Yadav, is spread over 3 acres and popularly known as Mini KBR Park. However, the water body has turned into a dumping ground with discarded water bottles, food waste, and other refuse, resulting in floating debris. They urge the authorities to clean the water body and ensure the celebration of the Bathukamma festival.
