Mentally unstable man kills parents in Hyderabad’s NeredmetIn Neredmet, an elderly couple, Rajaiah and Lakshmi, were brutally killed by their son Srinivas (35), who had struggled with addiction and mental health issues. The victims, Rajaiah (78) and his wife Lakshmi (65), had spent their twilight years trying to reform their second son, Srinivas (35). Despite his violent temper and alcohol addiction, they continued to keep him at home even after his wife abandoned him. In the hope of changing him, they had once admitted him to the Government Mental Health Centre, only to bring him back after treatment just about a month ago. Sadly, the same son became their killer,” a neighbour said, adding that the incident left the locality shaken.
