Hyderabad: A 19-year-old engineering student, who allegedly was forced to consume liquor by his seniors, died by suicide at a private hostel in Medipally on Sunday night. The victim , identified as Jadhav Sai Teja, a second-year BTech student at Siddhartha Institute of Technology, Narapally, was found hanging in his room at Madhu Boys Hostel. Preliminary investigations revealed that Teja was allegedly harassed by senior students who forced him to consume alcohol and accompanied him to a bar. The Medipally police have registered a case and launched an investigation to identify those responsible for the harassment.
