Woman, infant die in suspected suicide attempt on Kagaznagar railway tracksA woman and her one-year-old daughter died, while her husband was critically injured, after reportedly jumping before a train at Chintaguda village in Kagaznagar on Monday. The migrant family from Chhattisgarh was facing family disputes. Railway police said the woman, identified as Jagath Surya Vamshi (36), and her infant daughter died on the spot, while her husband Jagath Ram, a daily-wage worker, survived with grievous injuries. The couple, originally from Chhattisgarh, had migrated to Kagaznagar a few months ago in search of work. Police have launched an investigation to ascertain whether it was indeed a suicide attempt or an accidental incident while crossing the tracks.
