Commissioner A V Ranganath clarified that the demolitions targeted land grabbers, not poor families, and a report will follow after State Intelligence probeBy Telangana Today Published Date - 22 September 2025, 09:29 PMHyderabad: A day after Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (Hydraa) teams demolished structures on government land in Gajularamaram, its Commissioner A V Ranganath maintained that all the demolished structures were put up by land grabbers. “We identified over 900 illegal constructions on government land and our teams demolished 640 illegal constructions built by land grabbers and local rowdy sheeters,” Ranganath said while interacting with press persons on Monday. “It is not correct,” said the Hydraa Commissioner. Ranganath said that a detailed report on this issue will be submitted to MA&UD in the coming months, after a probe is conducted by the State Intelligence wing.
