G S Lakshmi of the Emirates ICC International Panel of Match Referees imposed the sanction after India were found to be two overs short of the target once time allowances were considered. India captain Harmanpreet Kaur pled guilty to the offence and accepted the sanction, meaning a formal hearing was not required. On-field umpires Lauren Agenbag and Janani Narayanan, along with third umpire Gayathri Venugopalan and fourth umpire Vrinda Rathi, levelled the charge.
