$50,000 donation will go too replacing equipment in Women and Children’s CentreThe Canucks for Kids Fund made a donation of $50,000 to the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation to support women's and children’s health.
The donation, by the Vancouver Canucks’ charitable arm, was made on Sept. 20 during the team’s training camp scrimmage in Penticton.
The money will go to the purchase of equipment for women and children at the Penticton Regional Hospital, including a new birthing bed and pediatric crib.
“We are incredibly thankful to the Vancouver Canucks and the Canucks for Kids Fund for this remarkable gift.
The visit included three members of the AHL Abbotsford Canucks team, the AHL Championship trophy, mascot Fin and Canucks legend Kirk McLean.
