District of Coldstream council received a letter in July 2024 from two young local residents, Grayson and Griffin Poulter. The Poulter boys had a request: they would like to see soccer nets installed at Middleton Mountain Park. Council, said the district, was delighted to hear directly from the boys and took their request under careful consideration. Two brand-new soccer sets were installed at Middleton Mountain Park in August 2025. "Council extends its appreciation to Griffin and Grayson for their initiative and interest in local governance.
